What's the story?

GuideTheRide started years ago as an effort to help groups of friends get together for adventures in the woods, on the trails, in the water, in the snow, and on the sand. Through encouragement from those friends the focus has extended to helping others who seek an adventure but need help taking action to find it! I look forward to planning the next adventure for your family, group, or corporate retreat.

The primary focus is providing affordable trip planning services to one of the many places in our beautiful country we have visited through the years. You will be directed to the places we have stayed at, restaurants we have ate at, and adventures we have enjoyed. Having been there and done that helps us feel confident to recommend and plan trips for you to have an amazing getaway!

If we haven't been to your bucket list destination or experienced your bucket list adventure we will connect to someone in The Guide Network who has and plan the trip with their guidance.

GuideTheRide Adventure Packages

The Adventure Packages range from local and regional destinations to cross country treks.

There is a package for various levels of excitement, skill, or relaxation. Choose your package or one will be customized based on your bucket list. All planning will be handled including travel arrangements, if necessary, and accommodations. Think about making great memories with your family, church group, youth group, senior outing, or as a team building activity with co-workers. The costs listed are specified for Planning Only. Total costs for the planning, accommodations, rentals, and deposits will be provided at the completion of planning. The Guided Trips are quoted upon planning and are based on current travel costs including accommodations for the guide if applicable. A down payment will be required before the travel dates.

Camp & Hike Ohio Adventure (Guided Trip)

Perfect for families and groups. We will suggest a few different beautiful hiking areas in Ohio. Pick one of those suggested locations and we’ll have tents, air mattresses, camp chairs, and string lights set up for a fun night under the stars. This is designed for Friday night camping and Saturday hiking. We gather up all the gear by the designated campsite check out time.

Do you want fries with that?

If you prefer to just relax GuideTheRide can prepare a group meal, provide fire wood, and start the fire! The price quote is based on the current camp site fee, travel costs, and size of the group. A price increase would be in effect for groups over 12 people. Call for more details!

Ride & Raft West Virginia $135 (Planning Only)

Planning for a self guided Friday trail riding expedition followed by a Saturday whitewater rafting trip. It is 2 full days of beauty and excitement! The planning includes booking accommodations, side by side or 4 wheeler rentals, rafting trip confirmation, tips for the trails and rapids, and restaurant recommendations.

GuideTheRide will be there to guide you through Ride & Raft West Virginia by leading on the trails and handling all the pre-check requirements for whitewater rafting. It’s a simple way to leave all the fuss to us! You will enjoy a fun and full day of trail riding including multiple leisure breaks throughout the day without the need to look at trail maps or wonder where to stop. Additional details will be provided at the time of planning.

Do The Dunes Michigan $135 (Planning Only)

Planning for a sandy adventure on the Silver Lakes Sand Dunes beside Lake Michigan. The planning includes booking accommodations, side by side or Jeep rentals, tips for the dunes, and restaurant suggestions. A boat rental on Silver Lake is also a great activity while there - we can arrange it also!

Bike & Train Ride Northeast Ohio $35 (Planning Only)

Planning for a nice bike ride on the towpath trail through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, lunch, and a picturesque train ride back. Planning includes booking bike rentals, lunch plans, and instructions for the train ride.

Snowmobile Upstate New York $135 (Planning Only)

Enjoy the beauty of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York while snowmobiling and the quaint, scenic town of Lake Placid or Old Forge after the sledding ends. The planning includes booking accommodations, snowmobile and gear rental, tips for the powder, and restaurant recommendations.

GuideTheRide will be there to guide you through this beautiful snowmobiling tour of the Adirondack Mountains. Just follow along and enjoy the scenery. Additional details will be provided at the time of planning.

Snowmobile Upper Peninsula Michigan $135 (Planning Only)

Spend a few days exploring the wide snowmobile trails of Michigan's Upper Peninsula from the launch point of Hulbert. Afterwards take some time to enjoy the peacefulness of Mackinaw Island during the quiet winter months. The planning includes booking accommodations, snowmobile and gear rental, tips for the powder, and restaurant recommendations.

GuideTheRide will be there to guide you through the expansive UP snowmobiling trails and places to grab a tasty burger. Additional details will be provided at the time of planning.

ATV Summer Upper Peninsula Michigan $135 (Planning Only)

If you are new to riding ATV's or side by sides Michigan's Upper Peninsula is a great place to start. When the days are warm and the wide expansive trails normally used for snowmobiling aren't covered in snow they are perfect for long days on an ATV or side by side. The trails are flat and easy riding for beginners or experienced riders looking for a long mileage scenic ride. The planning includes booking accommodations, ATV or side by side rentals, tips for the trails, and restaurant recommendations.

GuideTheRide will be there to guide you through the expansive UP wooded trails on a side by side, visit connector towns, and of course lead the way to grab a tasty burger! Additional details will be provided at the time of planning.

New york city & Up the east coast $185 (planning only)

In 2025 we had a tremendous road trip adventure to New York City and up through Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and back down through upstate New York. Acadia National Park and the Adirondack Mountains are majestic in the fall! Do you want to do it? Yes, of course you do but it's too much to plan! GuideTheRide will plan it all including booking accommodations based on your level of adventure, sightseeing stops based on your interests, and great restaurant recommendations.

FLORIDA FISHING ADVENTURE - In the beginning stages of the planning process you will be introduced via a conference call to our Florida Guides Chad & Charlotte. As life long experienced anglers they will take you on a private fishing trip off the Florida coast between Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. Chad & Charlotte will host you for a day or multiple days of coastal fishing and sightseeing. The planning will include booking airfare, car rental, accommodations, and arrangements to meet Chad & Charlotte. Kind tipping is encouraged!

SOUTHERN HUNTING ADVENTURE - In the beginning stages of the planning process you will be introduced via a conference call to our Southern Hunting Guide Tyler. Tyler will help you enjoy prolific hunting areas in rural Yazoo County, Mississippi for whitetail deer or duck hunting. This is real world hunting in the south not hunting at a preserve with farm raised deer! The planning will include booking airfare, car rental, accommodations, and arrangements to meet Tyler. Kind tipping is encouraged!

UTAH NATIONAL PARKS & THE PAIUTE TRAIL - In the beginning stages of the planning process you will be introduced via a conference call to our Utah Off-Road Guides Doug & Teressa. In addition to planning for your tour of the splendid national parks in Utah you can spend time on the renowned Paiute trail in Central Utah. Doug & Teressa will lead you on trails based on your skill level preference, easier wide open trails for sightseeing or tighter and technical trails for experienced riders. They also know all the best local eateries in the connector towns for a great lunch! The planning will include booking airfare, car rental, ATV or side by side rental, accommodations, and arrangements to meet Doug & Teressa. Kind tipping is encouraged!
